A series of typeface portraits created with
my impressions and understandings of those typefaces.
Aiming to acquire more knowledge and understanding of typography, I designed this series of posters in my leisure time. I believe different typefaces convey distinct feelings due to their histories, forms and usages.
Apart from the character designs, different background settings and title designs are applied to each typeface with suitable atmosphere. For instance, Sant Joan Despi´ is a cute and playful child. The paper of the poster in turn is a piece of single lined paper that is reminiscent of workbooks in school life. One obvious example is that the title design for American Typewriter is imitating the typewriter keyboard.
